Henley
1999 Henley
The colour is brick red with good depth and clarity. The aroma is very complex with spice and herb notes, red berry fruits and well integrated French oak. The palate is tightly structured and well balanced with red berries and layered tannins beginning to soften and adding complexity.
2000 Henley
The colour is a deep ruby/garnet, which implies youthful exuberance. Opulent spice, liquorice and berry fruits characterise the aroma, which are com-plexed by the subtle sophistication of the french oak in which this wine was matured. These intricate and refined attributes follow through to the velvety palate, which when combined with fine layered tan-nins and balanced acid produces a rich, harmonious and elegant wine capable of long term cellaring.
2001 Henley
The colour is a deep brick red with cherry red hues.
The aroma displays distinct blackberry fruit, choco-late and mint and made more complex by well-integrated oak showing cedar, toast and creamy notes. The palate is firm and tightly structured, currently showing a toasty vanillin oak character with powerful fruit in the background waiting to burst forth. A rich blend of red berries and spices can be found entwined throughout the length of the palate growing in intensity as the wine opens up.
2002 Henley
The colour is a deep brick red with cherry red hues, displaying classic aromas of liquorice and plums, with hints of herbs and savoury meats. The palate is rich with black fruit intensity, harmonious tannins and toasty vanillin characters, which all provides incredible length and will continue to develop fur-ther in the years ahead.
Reserve Shiraz
2004 Reserve Shiraz - Jimmy Watson Trophy Winner 2005
After a warm winter and heavy springs rains, a rain free vintage provided perfect growing conditions. Consistent berry set and a mild summer meant our Shiraz grapes displayed concentrated colour and flavour making this vintage one of the best ever. This wine is composed of individual parcels of outstanding wine selected from small French & American oak barrels which have matured for 23 months prior to bottling in July 2006.
2005 Reserve Shiraz
The palate displays fresh fruits and a silky texture with very fine tannins. Toasted smoky oak, well balanced acid and concentrated fruit flavours provide a great structure to this wine. Youthful and vibrant, the complexities that only bottle age can bring are just beginning to develop. Although drinking well now, the rewards of cellaring will add new dimensions to the enjoyment of this wine.

2004 Reserve Chardonnay
The 2004 vintage has been one of the best vintages of recent times in South Australia. Good flavour concentration and balance typify this vintage. This 2004 McLaren Vale /Coonawarra Chardonnay is no exception. Parcels of fruit from both regions were fermented and aged in brand new French oak for 8 months without malolactic fermentation, at which time we taste each barrel and select the very best for our Reserve Blend prior to immediate bottling and cellaring for 4 years prior to release.
Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
The colour is very dense and dark with brick red hues. the aroma is reminiscent of an up market cigar lounge , full of leather, coffee, chocolate and cigar box characters. As the wine opens up, further complex notes of menthol, cloves and toast are revealed. The stricking feature of the palate is the youthfulness of the acid.

2009 'Bushvine' GRENACHE ROSE
The colour is a striking rose petal pink with violet hues. The aroma displays the best of Grenache – cherries and raspberry’s with hints of licorice and blackberry. The palate is smooth and seamless with fresh fruit flavours backed by an underlying savoury feel. The length is generous finishing fruity, dry and clean.
2009 'Wickham Park' SAUVIGNON BLANC
The colour is youthful and light with the aroma showing a spectrum of characters ranging from cut grass and grapefruit, through lemon and lime finishing with hints of tropical fruit. The palate displays intense varietal flavours with well balanced mouth feel and acidity finishing on a fresh, uplifting citrus zesty note.
2006 'Wickham Park' CHARDONNAY
The 2006 Chardonnay was fermented and matured in small French casks for approximately 9 weeks. The resultant wine displays citrus and melon fruit haracters complimented by subtle vanillin oak, with a crisp clean finish. While enjoyable now short to medium term cellaring will enhance the complex flavour of this wine.
2004 'Wickham Park' SANGIOVESE
Sangiovese is a variety which has a long history in Italy, namely the Tuscany region where is it the basis for Chianti blends. This is the first vintage of Sangiovese we have picked from our Wickham Park vineyard in McLaren Vale. After a warm winter and heavy spring rains, a rain free vintage provided perfect growing conditions for our McLaren Vale fruit. Consistent berry set and a mild summer meant our McLaren Vale grapes displayed concentrated colour and flavour making this vintage one of the best ever.
2006 'Wickham Park' MERLOT
The colour is a deep brick red with crimson hues. The aroma is a complex blend of red currant, mulberry, Coffee and cinnamon with some earthy and meaty notes. At least 18 months in American and French oak hogsheads had added a subtle cashew nut and cedar bouquet with a hint of vanilla. The mid palate is fleshy and full, enhanced by fine velvety fruit and oak tannins providing excellent structure without getting in the way of the smooth fruity mouth feel. Overall the wine is very well balanced and will accompany a wide range of cuisines.
2001 'Pimpala Vineyard' CABERNET MERLOT
This wine can be a little closed immediately after pulling the cork, so offer it some time to breathe and you will be rewarded. Being 7 years old (at the time of writing these notes) there are some wonderful complex developed characters beginning to occur. There is still some quite primary varietal Cabernet aromas coming through, but they soon meld with the seductive chocolate, mint and coffee bouquet which become more evident with time in the glass. The palate has surprising youthfulness in its structure, due to the higher than normal natural tannin and acid from this unique vineyard. It holds the wine together very well and offers up excellent fruit flavours and mouth feel. While this wine is drinking very well now, it will benefit from medium to long term cellaring (6-10 years).
2006 SHIRAZ GRENACHE MOURVEDRE
Aroma’s of coffee and spice with a hint of fennel while the palate is youthful with the old vine Grenache provid-ing raspberry’s and black cherries, with black currant from the Shiraz and the Mourvedre giving verve , all sup-ported by a firm yet fine tannin structure with well inte-grated oak adding complexity to the wine.
2006 CABERNET SHIRAZ
This classic Australian blend brings together the best of both varieties.The aroma shows an initial burst of Cabernet quickly backed up by some complex red berry fruit and fresh spices courtesy of the Shiraz.
2006 'G & W' CABERNET SAUVIGNON
The colour is very deep red with youthful purple hues.The aroma shows intense varietal characters of menthol, black olive, mint and capsicum with subtle complex oak in the background. The palate is wonderfully supple and fleshy with fine firm tannins providing excellent struc-ture. Intense flavour, good length and well balanced acid complete this outstanding wine which will evolve and develop further with bottle maturation.
2006 'Jacko's Blend' SHIRAZ
The colour is a dark red with good clarity and depth. The aroma shows the best of the region and variety, with a complex blend of fresh red berry fruits, liquorice, leather, cedary oak, earth and spice. The palate is seamless, harmonious, warm and seductive. It begins with ample ripe fruit and subtle well integrated oak which gradually fills the mouth. Velvety tannins are then slowly revealed along with further complexities thanks to some time prior to release. The finish is long, reflective and satisfying. While drinking very well now, this wine will improve with short to medium term cellaring (3-6 years.
