“Take flight with ‘The Gaggle by Merrill’, premium wines with a playful attitude. There’s a flavour for every occasion, and a goose on every label. Choose the goose that matches your mood, but don’t lay these golden eggs in the cellar; these youthful, fresh wines are designed to drink now.” – Geoff Merrill

The aroma initially displays light, fresh cherry and raspberry with delicate floral notes opening to subtle licorice and spice characters.
The palate begins light and clean, with exciting fruit flavours and textures coming to life with raspberry and violet notes, moving to cherry and savoury spice. Clean, balanced acidity.
“Enjoy with BBQ Spanish Mackerel cutlets and vegetable skewers, charcuterie, Tallegio Cheese, grilled scallops and Chinese duck.”
VINTAGE INFORMATION: The 2021 vintage was almost perfect in the Riverland, with some describing it as a once in a lifetime. Good rainfall in winter and spring along with cooler than usual conditions contributed to an efficient vintage. Yields across the region were reported as average to high, with some growers experiencing their best crop in many years. These conditions leading up to and through vintage have resulted in outstanding wine quality, with wines showing excellent varietal character and high colour density.
“Fresh and enticing, the wine shows ripe cherry, apricot, rockmelon and floral aromas, followed by a vibrant palate delivering gorgeous fruit purity and flow. Light and refreshing with loads of tasty flavours. 5 stars.”

“Pale red-pink in colour and well flavoured. Raspberry, watermelon and citrus with a dry chalky aspect to the texture. Dry finish. Good to drink.”

“Love this rosé which is sourced from the Riverland. It’s Grenache, a variety that is simply superb for this light, refreshing
young drinking style. Perfumed notes of rose petal with a spicy lift. The palate has a degree of textural complexity albeit on
its light body, but it is thoroughly delicious. Gentle, yet with decent flavour intensity with a light raspberry and Turkish Delight character that makes for further intrigue.”
