2013 Botham Merrill Willis Cabernet Sauvignon

Sir Ian BothamandBob Willisare two of the biggest names in the modern era of world cricket. Geoff Merrill’s reputation on the International stage of winemaking is equally impressive. A mutual passion for their respective professions, cricket and wine, drew them together during the English tour of Australia in 1978. Since then a lasting friendship has developed over many bottles opened and balls bowled.

Wine Reviews:

95 points -Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)

“It’s deeply coloured and richly expressed on the nose showing cassis, Black Doris plum, toasted spice, vanilla, cedar and cigar notes, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate that’s plump and silky. The wine offers terrific intensity backed by rounded tannins, finishing long and immensely satisfying. A blend of grapes from Coonawarra and McLaren Vale.5 stars.”
